Small on purpose.
Full Steam is a boutique AI consultancy. We take on a handful of clients at a time, we work closely with them, and the people you meet on day one are the people doing the work on day ninety.

Origin
Why we exist
We started Full Steam after watching the same story play out too many times: a capable team, a promising AI prototype, and a year later nothing in production. Not because the model failed, but because integration, data access, security review, and ownership were nobody's job.
We also watched what large consultancies did about it: a partner in the pitch, a bench of juniors on the engagement, and a deck at the end. We wanted the opposite. Senior people, small teams, real code, and a relationship close enough that you can text us when something breaks.
So we kept Full Steam small on purpose. It's how we stay honest about what's worth building, and how we make sure nothing gets lost between strategy and shipping.
Boutique
What boutique means here
It isn't a size. It's a way of working.
A few clients at a time
We deliberately cap how many engagements we run at once, so every client gets our attention rather than a slice of it.
Senior from the first call
There's no handoff to a delivery team. The people who scoped the work build it.
Inside your team, not beside it
We work in your repos, your Slack, and your rituals. Your engineers pair with us throughout so the knowledge stays with you.
Direct about the answer
If the right call is "don't build this" or "buy that," you'll hear it in the first two weeks, not after the budget's spent.
People
The team
Full Steam is run by a small group of senior practitioners who spent their careers in enterprise software before turning to AI. Our backgrounds are in identity and access, systems integration, and solutions engineering, which means we've spent years on the question of who is allowed to do what, and how to make a system something people actually adopt.
We don't put faces on the website because the work isn't about us. You'll meet the team on the first call, and the same people will be there for the whole engagement.
Beliefs
What we believe
AI is a systems problem with people in it
Model choice matters less than integration, data, permissions, and ownership. We design for the whole system.
Security is a design input
Our roots are in identity governance. We treat "what is this allowed to do" as a first question, not a last one.
Honesty over billable hours
If the right answer is "don't build this," we'll say so, and we'll say it early.
The goal is to leave
An engagement succeeds when your team owns the result and doesn't need us for the next one.
